You deserve some tank tops for making it to 2026. Heck, we all deserve a little treat for making it through the first year of The Orange Stain’s Administration 2.0. Let’s hope women are still allowed to show bare arms in tank tops a year from now. But the way things are going, well, better enjoy them while we can.

As someone who has a long track record of loving both food shows, Top Chef and Padma Lakshmi, I feel like this gossip cycle was made specifically for me. Like, do I think former Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi and former Top Chef winner Melissa King are dating? No. Do I think they definitely know what they’re doing? Yes. Do I love it anyway and will I consume every last drop of delicious drop of sapphic teasing? You’d better believe it.

Yes, yes, – I like I know just last summer I had posted about Melissa hard launching with fellow chef Nini Nguyen. Like, are we misinterpreting everyone’s couple launch Insta posts or do people need to stop being being so intentionally vague?

Anyway, rumors started to swirl after Padma and Melissa won Halloween after dressing up as Morticia and Gomez Addams. Like, name a better looking couple? You can’t.

And then this weekend they kept the rumors rumoring by posting about Padma’s “gay nails.” Melissa is not wrong. That is a very lesbian nail situation Padma has going on.

Look, in the end it doesn’t matter if these two are just friends or very good friends or roommates or whatever. What matters is two hot people are making food and taking sexy pictures together. And, during these dark times, I’ll take any light we can get. Carry on, ladies, with your whatever.

Tank Top Tuesday: Plain White Tank Edition

You know it, you love it. The plain white tank. No, we will not ever again call it that thing we used to call it in the late 1990s and early 2000s. But we can certainly still appreciate this classic. Though, just to be safe, how about we ban men from wearing them? You know, until we can figure out what is going on. There’s a lot of stuff we should ban them from, but I guess we gotta start somewhere. So, let us decree it, the plain white tank is for women only. Now, onto everything else. Until then, please enjoying these ladies exercising their right to bare arms. No, obviously, not that kind.

My Weekend Crush

Yeah, yeah, I know it’s not Pride anymore. But I wanted to salute these Pride Hard Launches that slipped in late in the month. How did people announce their relationships before Instagram? So belated mazel tov to Elliot Page who hard launched on the Gram with “Overcompensating” star Julia Shiplett. This is Elliot’s first public relationship since coming out as trans I believe, so very much good for him. Also the kids today seem to love “Overcompensating.” Truly well done all around. And congrats to Top Chef-testants Melissa King and Nini Nguyen who Storied their hard launch. I just watched Nini in “24 in 24: Last Chef Standing” (yes, I watch all the Food network slop) and Melissa has always been *swoon*. These cuties all deserve each other. More happy queers being happy queers together makes my heart happy, and we could all use happier hearts. Happy weekend (and hearts), all.
