A New Carole

While Carol Day is still two weeks away, a new Carole is coming to the holidays. But it appears someone is coming for Carol Aird’s title as Lesbian Queen of Christmas. Again, “Carol” is a Christmas movie. Consider it the lesbian “It’s a Wonderful Life” – an annual must rewatch. Still, it appears Suranne Jones might be challenging her this season. Now, I have no evidence that “Christmas Carole” has anything even remotely queer in it. But, given that Suranne is starring in it, I naturally assume she’ll be playing a lesbian. I mean, look at her track record. I’m not wrong. Anyway, I realize this is supposed to be some sort of modern spin on “A Christmas Carol.” And Surrane is playing someone Scrooge named Carole who is an “unashamedly wealthy entrepreneur.” From this photo I am going to assume Taj Atwal is playing the Cratchit/Therese character. What? You know my version would be better.
