Well, I was feeling nostalgic on this last Monday of the first month of the New Year. Almost through January already, almost. While everyone knows “Come to My Window” as Melissa’s big coming out song, it remains truly astonishing that mainstream American didn’t can’t on sooner. I mean, “Bring Me Some Water” was released in 1988. And Melissa looked like that. I mean, look at her! Yet it took another five years, until 1993 with Melissa’s inaugural coming out, for Straight America to be like, “Ohhh, right.” Anyway, this song remains a banger. And that bolo tie is just, never change, Melissa. Never change.
