All Jodie, all the time

CLICK to enlarge the Jodie JoyI guess I’m testing the bounds of my “You Can Never Have Too Much Jodie Foster”-theory here. But, you know what, it’s my blog and I’ll be repetitive if I want to. Repetitive if I want to. Repetitive if I want to. You would be repetitive, too, if Jodie Foster happened to you. Wow, I need to sleep more. Check out my ode to the knee-weakening power of Ms. Foster at AfterEllen today. Though, I just realized I forgot to add her ability to speak fluent French as one of her many swoon-worthy attributes. But please don’t let that stop you from enjoying it now. C’est magnifique, non?

[Special thanks to Esther and Mandy for drool-worthy tips!]

Yes, you can never have too much Jodie Foster. I'm so with you on that. My God, how hot does she look on that cove of C? Not so crazy about the EW cover photo though. What's going on w/ her hair?

True, her French is simply mind-blowing. She doesn't even have an accent. I would know.

OK, can you post the C Magazine article?

The C cover is outrageously hot :)

Two second translation:
* she thinks that the movie is about a tough subject
* from her point of view, her character is not human in the beginnning of the movie (ie too emotionally detached, doesn't know herself and has a passive approach to life) and gains humanity, albeit a horribile monstruous humanity, as she evolves after what happens to her. And it's a humanity that also has a very self-critical aspect to it.
* She knows there will be some criticism and expects quite some uproar about the underlying message that being said, she's confident with why she did the movie (ie never taking the part of Tom Cruise's girlfirenc or being the good looking woman but rather wanting to work with this or that director)
* It is not a jugement of the other directors personal value but she wants to work with directors that she knows she'll learn a lot from. After 41 years of working in cinema, she wants to show up on the set and spend the day observing behind the director's shoulder wondering "how did he do this?"

On a separate point, she tends to have a higher pitched voice in French than in English, which I find kinda cute. Maybe it's because I do the same and speak in a much deeper voice in english...
