My Weekend Squee

At our darkest hour, when we were certain all hope was lost, on the brink of defeat, came hope. “Brittana is on. Brittana was always on.” So tweeteth “Glee” co-creator Brad Falchuk, so tweeteth us all. I have to say, when I saw this tweet come up in my feed last night, it took me a few seconds to comprehend what was being said. No, this wasn’t from a fan’s twitter account. No, this wasn’t wishful thinking. No, this wasn’t some sort of amazingly articulate pocket tweet. This is what’s happening. Brittana is happening. Praise Grilled Cheesus.

I like “Glee,” a lot. Sure it’s not a perfect show but it keeps the parts of my brain that love shiny things and the parts of my brain that love Jane Lynch happy. And then this flirty little relationship between Brittany and Santana caught my eye and found its way into a tiny crevice in my heart I didn’t realize needed filling. And so now I’m all in. I can’t help it. They’re adorable. I’m hooked. But like other Brittana fans, I found my devotion tested. Brittany and Artie? Santana and Sam? So many expletives. So many.

So now, just when I was ready to give up, a ray of light. Some are still skeptical about whether a show where characters are sometimes less developed than their dance moves will keep its promise. But I, for one, choose to keep the faith. This isn’t a wishy-washy statement of maybe, at some point, we’re considering it. This is on. So I’m going to be excited and save my anger for the if, not the when, any promises get broken. And I’m also going to be very thankful to the creators, writers and especially actors. If Naya Rivera and Heather Morris hadn’t been on board from the start, I doubt Brittana would have every happened. More open, positive and undeniable LGBT characters on TV are always a good thing. Bring it on, Brittana. Happy weekend, all.

Brittana's back and the possibility of actually getting Anne Hathaway as Kurt's lesbian aunt (from what I've read, it's a done deal)... well, I might just give Glee another chance.

Brittana is on?!?! Wow. FINALLY! Kudos to the Brittana shippers who banded together and made it happen. They are a force to be reckoned with. Now, if we could juuust get the Faberry fans to step up their games. Is that asking too much? :-)

I love Brittana, possibly more than Glee and I am sooo ecstatic that this is happening - I never thought it would to be honest. Anyway, while we still don't know exactly what's going to happen with Brittana and what BFalchuck means by a "relationship" I wish you would show some love for the Emily s/l in Pretty Little Liars and how lovingly it's been handled from the very beginning because honestly, it was the only thing that was keeping me afloat throughout this Brittana drought lol (not to mention Heather Hogan's epic recaps on AE and #BooRadleyVanCullen!)

while i am extremely happy that Brittana is on, i am even more happy that Quinn and Sam are (apparently) going to break up :D ok, not happy about the fact that Sam is cheating with Santana of all girls, but since it looks like S&B will be back together, it seems to me it's a win-win combination :) couldn't stand Quinn with Sam... can we have some Fabberry, please? Pretty please :)

if my calculations are correct, this puts episode 15 on Tuesday, March 8th. That's Fat Tuesday everybody! and we should plan to celebrate brittana in only the most appropriate ways. by giving and getting sweet lady kisses and throwing beads since it seems finally that santana will be back in brittany's bosom and good graces...

@collins, I don't know, after all the new February episodes, most series tend to put on a few reruns. We might have to wait until the end of March or (gasp) April. Then again, they did have the two month break from December 7 - Feb 6. Sigh. I hope I'm wrong about April.

Guess I'm a little rain cloud because I'm not so fond of Brittana. Santana is so so mean to Brittany and what kind of girlfriend is that. Much better to introduce a new girl for Brittany to fall for and break Santana's cold cold heart.
Just saying...Brittany could do better and be with someone less manipulative.

EXCITED.
to say the least.

Yay Brittana.

I'm gonna post here something I posted at AE already. Major props to Brittana fans for keeping this going.

They're some of the most well-organized and persistent fans in the Glee-verse. There were Twitter uproars addressed to official accounts, they constantly rally to comment on articles and posts and they campaign for support from other ships. The Brittana tweets from Naya and Brad didn't happen out of the blue ;)

So... next time anyone sees some #Brittana hashtags or messages, retweet, reblog or just say hi ;)

Brittana fans rock.

is it real name? Falchuck?
o....

I don't get, I even don't
understand today's posting,
Do you mind if I say, I don't know
who is brittana..I only know Jane's name.

It feels like something happened
to the show, okay~
I read some comments but also,
don't understand, I think people
just say what they like to say.
seems not related to the posting.

Thanks~ have a great weekend!
love you DS, as the usual~

I think Santana's going to have a big problem with it - she seems the most worried about self image. This could be a really good story line if they don't mess it up and just play it as girls trying to turn on guys by messing with each other. If they do that I WILL puke.
