Music Mondays: Champions Edition

Well, let’s do it all over again in another four three years shall we? Maybe we’ve learned a little something during these Games that will make the next Games even better, fairer and kinder. Time will tell. But I do know I want to celebrate all the amazing athletes, particularly the female athletes and particularly particularly the queer female athletes. So here’s to the champions, whether they won medals or not. I don’t know if you’ve heard of 11-year-old British drumming phenom Nandi Bushell? She went viral during the pandemic because, well look at her, she’s awesome. (And, maybe, we are all a tad jealous at how much fun she is having hitting things in perfect rhythm, maybe.) She even got to drum with Dave Grohl. For real! Go Nandi! Go team world. Happy Monday, kittens.
