Well, it’s President’s Day in these here United States. As we all know all too well, in our nation’s history there has never been a female president. Just 45 (almost entirely white) dudes. Heck, we’ve never even had a female vice president. And here we are again this year, with the likelihood of even having a female nominee still very much in the air. *deep endless sigh* As always, someone will say, “But gender shouldn’t matter, may the best person win.” Sure, of course. But if gender really doesn’t matter, why has the best person never been a woman in the 244-year history of our country? Yeah, really makes you think – that sexism is still very alive and very well in America.
p.s. Not that anyone asked, but I’ve decided I’m all in with Elizabeth Warren in the primaries Yes, yes – I will vote blue no matter who (though, for real, I will have to grit my damn teeth for some of them). But Liz, yeah, now there’s a president.

Yay Warren! I am all in for her as well. I've been doing phone and text banking from home -- it is a wonderful antidote to the anxiety that the world's situation fills me with.

I read Elizabeth Warren is running out of money. Im shocked she hasn't done as well as I expected same with Biden who rumor has may drop out soon. Looks like Amy Klobuchar has passed her by. In the end, the two moderate candidates former mayor Mike Bloomberg and Klobuchar may be the most viable.

Unless Warren picks up steam in NV/SC she is toast. Did hear Bloomberg is considering Hillary as his VP running mate if he gets the nomination.
"Gender shouldn't matter" only applies if everybody is willing to follow that advice. If you know for a fact that some men feel really uncomfortable voting female candidates for office, well, then some women are allowed to feel really uncomfortable voting male candidates for office. If it matters to some men, then it should matter to some women, too.
The economy is roaring - unemployment is at historic lows. The Democrats better put Warren on the ticket or you might as well pack up and go home now. Warren is the only one who can beat Trump.

Im with HER. If Warren does not get the nomination I am not voting this year. I refuse to vote for a Sanders, Buttigieg or Biden.
heres the thing: Unless the Democratic party rallies behind ONE candidate, they wont defeat Trump. Refusing to vote because your candidate doesn't get nominated is why the Democrats lost last time.
