Also, just as an example, it will be nothing even remotely like this movie. Except maybe for the kiss, you’ll know which one.

Dream K-Big
I have a dream. In my dream, Kathryn Bigelow directs Meryl Streep in her next movie. The film follows Kathryn’s signature style – muscular drama with tough characters. Meryl will be the toughest and most muscular of them all – though not in the “I want to pump you up!” sense, of course. Things may or may not blow up, but that’s not the point. The story will be strong and visceral, it will be expertly told and intense. You will leave the theater feeling like you’ve seen something real, turned our complex humanity over a couple times in your hand and maybe even shaken it a bit in an attempt to understand ourselves just a little bit better. No one will call it a chick movie. No one will call it a dude movie. It will just be a great movie. Kathryn will be nominated again. Meryl will win her third Oscar (everyone thinks she has a million, but she only has the two – out of 16 nominations). And the telecast will end precisely on time because host Tina Fey runs a tight fucking ship. Hey, if you’re going to dream, dream K-Big.

haha, it seems like comedy,
thanks for the post,
have a great day :)
I still can't believe Bigelow and Streep are almost the same age.
That would be an awesome movie and I would totally go see it :)
Also, Tina Fey hosting the Oscars is a great idea
All around fantastic ideas. After this year's Oscars, they have to be thinking Tina Fey and Robert Downing Jr to host--if they insist on that 2 people hosting thing.
Also, I've not been blown away by Jessy Hodges on Anyone But Me, but in that spoof, she's hilarious! Thank you for bringing that into my life.
"No one will call it a dude movie."
Puleeze....where did that come from? They're dick flicks. Let's be blunt.
And a Streep/Bigelow collaboration will be out of this world! Yes, for a change the wisdom of older women will shine through and capture the hearts and minds of the world.
One can dream :)
wooooo i can dream! best is that Bigelow cast the 'lovers' together... i can dream & hope i can tell you that lolx
good day!
Haha great post! I agree with that movie prediction.
hahahaha, i saw that video and thought "I'd probably go see it just for the lesbians." CATCHPHRASE!
anyway, i've been dreaming something similar to that for years. only...i'm directing. :D it'll happen!
Long time lurker, first time poster.
Just popping in to say, good lord, how spot on is that parody trailer? Film snobs should duly note that Oscar bait movies are just as formulaic and generic as the Transformers 2s of the world.
Let's dream bigger. First, a Kathryn and Meryl movie. Then, a movie with Jodie Foster. And Jodie's playing a lesbian. ;-)
