I love a woman with “Agent” in front of her name. FBI, CIA, Secret. It all works for me. Also working for me? These new promo shots of Anna Torv as Agent Olivia Dunham.
“Fringe” grew on me its first season, burrowing deeper and deeper into my brain with its intricate mysteries and bold brandishing of the conspiracy theory crown once held by “The X-Files.” Also, it helped that Anna made out with a stripper. (Yes, I’m ignoring the whole it-was-in-her-head, oh-and-she-killed-her-afterward stuff.) Have I mentioned she looks good in a suit?
This then begs the question: Which female agent is your favorite?

I have to agree with you: I love them all but there can only be one like Special Agent Dana Scully. There is only one thing that could have made me love her character/storyline more and that's if they would have followed through on the original Scully/Reyes vibes (it might be all the wishful thinking but damn it, they were there!). By the way, Monica Reyes/Annabeth Gish is another good candidate for your Agents list, even all by herself with her unfortunate eventual love interest in agent Doggett!
Oh, I second Jaded! Agent Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner from Alias) is my favorite. Then you add Lena Olin - and DAMN!

I'm a shipper, always have been, regardless of my desire for Scully to come out of the closet! That said, I am still catching up on Fringe through hulu because it is just too manipulative to watch all at once - and where is Mary Shannon in all this?
Ah, a post after my own heart. Scully was my first love. I still have the cover of FHM from mid 90's that I had laminated on my bedroom wall (along with a million other Scully/ X-Files pics. She will always hold a special place in my mind but I must admit both Sydney Bristow & Sarah Walker are welcome to join her at anytime!!

One of my new favorites, though, is Myka Bering from Warehouse 13 on SyFy. At first I thought it would just be too much like an X-Files remake, (male and female government agent pair traveling around investigating freaky-deaky phenomena sounded familiar) but it's turning out to be such an interesting, quirky, well written show. And Jane Espenson heads it! It also doesn't hurt that the new character Claudia Donovan definitely pings my gaydar...

No agent will ever beat Scully. I was so in love with her that my video tapes wore down on the parts with her in them. Thank God for DVDs ;).
Scully, without a doubt. Her and Kim Delaney (Det. Diane Russell NYPD Blue) were my first obsessions. I think it's because those characters are strong women. I seem to gravitate toward those women...and Delaney on Blue looked a lot like a newly hired HS math teacher that I had a major crush on.
I also agree with the vote for Samantha Spade.
Just read that Duchovny was a classmate of J. Beals and lobbied for her to get the Scully role. I looooove JB but Gillian Anderson is just perfect and gorgeous.

I LOVE Scully, but Scully lovers have to give props to Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling. When Chris Carter created that part, he based it off of Clarice. When they were casting it, they were looking for someone like Agent Starling. So no Starling, no Scully....
But currently I'm completely in love with Agent Walker. How can you not be? She is so beautiful. So, so, so very beautiful...
Scully, all the way, all the time, hands down. And I agree with the write-in of Sydney Bristow. The others are definitely lovely, but c'mon - DANA-FREAKIN-SCULLY; she stole my heart long ago (in a make-believe sense, of course. All gay-married and everything, my wife has my ACTUAL heart).
Sarah Walker in a heartbeat. Aside from being dedicated, kind, and sensitive, she could kick my ass any day.
Agent Scully is perfect and I´ve been in love with her for over fifteen years. The others can only dream of being as cool, scientific, sceptical and beautiful as Dana Scully.
She's not on the list, but I vote for Ziva David on NCIS. She's great with knives and guns, and is sort of omnisexual too. She flirts with men and women, and has copped to sleeping with women on more than one occasion.
