I Just Called To Say...

Kittens, today marks the year anniversary of the end of “Rizzoli & Isles.” And, yeah, I still miss that show and its crazy, insane, totally gay chemistry. No, the cases didn’t make sense. No, the police procedure wasn’t right. No, I have no idea why didn’t just give in and make Jane and Maura a couple. But despite it all it was still ridiculously fun chronicling seven years worth of Totally Gratuitous, Totally Gay Touching, Eye Sex, Ponytails of Righteous Justice, Aviators of Sexy Justice, Adorable Bickersons and, of course, the Synchronized “Rizzoli” and “Isles” Phone Greetings. And, of course, we'll always gave the Subtext Recaps. Ah, the memories.

Dorothy you certainly do know how to put a smile on my face :)) With all the bad news around this just cheers me up and your sub - text must be reserved in the archives forever - they where the best!

Your recaps were essential for Rizzles fans. Thank you, once again, for your R&I devotion.

We need to talk about that little leather number Maura is sporting at 0:35....

I know it was subtext, and eventually we all got pissy that they were too scared to take it maintext, but laughing at the OBVIOUSNESS of "teh gay" all while reading your recaps, was really half the fun of that show.

I love that (many of us) can safely come out now, but if there is any good part of being a marginalized group? It's the inside jokes that result from dealing with that nonsense. Just proves how awesome we all are.

Thanks again for those amazing recaps. They showed me my people... and opened up so much more. Plus i laughed my head off. You're the best!

I miss the Rizzles, the subtext, the Rack of God, Jane's inability to say no to Maura, the gayest non-gay show on TV, and the recaps, I miss it all! Sure, it wasn't the greatest show on TV, but it was my guilty pleasure, and I'm sad it's gone. I watch the re-runs when I need a jolt of Gayzzoli (they always seem to show the gayest episodes). In my mind, Jane and Maura are together again. Maura has taken a job with the FBI and they are investigating cases.

Dorothy snarker u rock with ur recaps I often found myself laughing and smiling and most of all agreeing with you, not having more rizzles is hard to accept but having the continuance offerings of the show make up somewat empty parts of my life, the show could have been so much better if the owners writers and angie and sasha were all in agreement to take the chemistry of jane and maura and run with it, and also they could have had jane and maura going to paris and confessing their love on the Eiffel tower or on a boat cruise on the seine and jane and maura getting therapy for wat hoyt did to both of them etc
