Who amongst us hasn’t looked at this Vogue cover and immediately created an elaborate fantasy where Meryl is the masc and Anna the fem in a mad fashionable love story set at the Met Gala and/or Brandi Carlile’s Girls Just Wanna Weekend? (I know, I know – but wouldn’t it be hilarious to see Anna amid the Bramily?) Look, I’m no Wintour stan. But I’ll do anything for Merly, especially Meryl in a suit. So what Meryl wants, Meryl gets – in my imagination. Plus, it’s an age-appropriate imaginary relationship to boot! I mean, two 70-something women on the cover of Vogue together?
