My Weekend Crush

Granted, this is kind of an unorthodox Weekend Crush in that it’s not actually a person. Details, details. But my lust for this sexy little number knows no bounds. iWant it, iWant it bad. Plus given the iPhone’s clean lines, seductive styling and inherent multitasking abilities, it’s clearly a woman. I cannot tell you how much I’ve geeked out over this phone in the past few weeks. But, alas, I was not in line with the even geekier hordes Friday. As much as I want to hold the hotness in my hot little hands, I know I shouldn’t. Let my rational mind tell you why not while my id keeps drooling at the thought of caressing the cold, smooth touch-sensitive screen. 1) It costs $600. 2) Version 2.0 will be even cooler. Must fight it. Must be strong. Must…look how pretty. Dammit. Resistance is futile. Happy weekend, all.

UPDATE: I make no excuses for the ridiculousness of this crush. It’s ridiculous. But that doesn’t mean it’s not real. I went to fondle touch one for myself this weekend. Fucking-A. All I can say is thank God they were sold out. I’ll see if I can hold out for 2.0. But, when you see things like this, it makes it really, really hard.

i know exactly howe you feel. I have been drooling and I had to ban myself from the apple webstore for awhile. We may have to form a support group.

I thought you might have gone for Elizabeth Edwards. After Ms. Edwards came out (no, not like that) for gay marriage in SF, she's my weekend crush.

Hey, I added you to my blogroll. Could you take a look and see if my site is worthy to be on your roll? :-)

Numerous complaints about version 1.0 have already started surfacing, eg. the web browser is slow, Bluetooth only works for the headset and no other devices, and the keyboard isn't as easy to use as they showed in the demo videos.

Hopefully, that will help you hang out for iPhone version 2.0! :)

Oh Jeebus! Now if it had been a pink porpoise, then maybe a tech device would be appropriate as a weekend "crush". But seriously, the Iphone 1.0. ? Have you no tech savvy?
I second slacker in supporting Elizabeth Edwards as my weekend crush.

I touched it this morning. It's hot, sleek, smooth, seductive, sensual, smart. Just plain sexy. But I'll wait for v2.0. Let's see how AT&T/Cingular does as the only provider. They have a 2 year agreement w/Apple.

Here's the url for an article from The NYT of June 28th. It consists of FAQ's for the iPhone. Very helpful and may take the edge off of your jones for the iPhone until 2nd gen appears.

Let me know when the support group meetings are. Like Dorothy, the rationale side of my brain knows the top two reasons to not rush out and buy this thing...right now...but oh the hotness, the sleekness, the...oh I feel faint :-)
