This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for Jodie Foster’s abs in “
Nyad.” I plan to have a more thorough and less horndog whistle review of this very well-done movie sometime soon. But for now I will just say that this is a lesbian movie you can safely watch with the whole family and all ages this holiday weekend (not that people need to be kept “safe” from lesbian content, but we’re also not gonna watch “Below Her Mouth” with nana.) Anyway, like I was saying. Thank you, Jodie Foster’s abs. And arms. And sports bras. And lesbian sunglasses. Truly, so much to be thankful for.
Enjoyed watching Jodie & Annette in this story.
ReplyDeleteBoth superb performances in a strong & well done movie.
Top of their game! Movie is as intense as Nyad herself.
Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Vasarhelyi are amazing filmmakers. I knew this was going to be good. But seeing Jodi play an out queer’s character was just amazing and affirming. Really loved this. And happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteIn the immortal words of Kristen Stewart: she looks like so gay, dude
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else feel like Jodie was cosplaying Max from OG L Word?
ReplyDeleteI was unnerved by how alike her mannerisms were to that character. Uncanny.
Enjoyed the movie, hell of a tough watch for the lady herself though surely, she came across as utterly horrid.
Never heard of her before watching it so no idea if it’s a fair representation or not?
Benning was fantastic though.
