Now, honestly, I can’t say if there’s any lesbian/queer content in “Everything Everywhere All At Once” because, um, it’s about everything everywhere all at once and you’ve got to believe some of that everything that’s everywhere all at once is also gay. The latest movie to mine the multiverse looks like a fantastic fantasmagorical showcase with googly eyes. But what really helps it stand out among these kinds of big showy sci-fi showcases is that it focuses on a strong female lead with what looks to be an equally strong dueling female antagonist where both women are allowed to be above the age of 50. I mean, when’s the last time that happened? And with powerful Asian representation? Hell yeah, you’d better believe I’m going to watch the outrageously talented Michelle Yeoh and the outrageously talented Jamie Lee Curtis duke it out for parallel universe supremacy.
I'm so here for this!
