Sometimes you have shows you really liked and watched and watched and just stopped watching for no one reason in particular. But, goodness, if
Padma Lakshmi’s Instagram feed doesn’t make me think I should start watching “Top Chef” again. What? It can’t all be deep. Sometimes it’s just observing the beauty that can exist in this world – in its underwear. With respect, of course. Always respectfully. Ahem. Happy weekend, all.
Wow
ReplyDeleteOh, have a great weekend DS
Although it's highly unlikely that I would watch 'Top Chef', I really am loving
ReplyDelete@PadmaLakshmi's Twitter feed and her Twitter Media -
she's both pretty and pretty awesome - great weekend crush!
She honestly gets hotter year on year. Her hair this season (the 18th!) is glorious.
ReplyDeleteMy head exploded reading this is her autobiography:
“I was eager to be an adult. I was not very experienced sexually, and when I wasn’t sober, I felt free to do things I wouldn’t normally do. It was the first time I had acted out my curiosities and fantasies. Some I regret, but not all, like knowing what it’s like to touch and be touched by a woman.”

I really like her series "taste the nation" on Hulu too. sounds like you might as well? thanks again for all the joy and insight this blog serves
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I think this season of top chef might be my favorite yet. The COVID bubble forced them to be very innovative. Instead of "industry experts" (aka loads of white men and random tie in people), they brought in past contestants and experts -- and clearly worked hard to have racial/ethnic diversity, as well as multiple out chefs (hello, Melissa King and Kristen Kish!). They've explored food of the African diaspora, had an event with local tribal leaders focused on native food, etc. And best of all: Of all the cheftestants, only one is a straight white dude. The douche to awesome ratio has never been better.
