Look, any year with a new, interesting Cate Blanchett movie can’t be all bad, right? I haven’t read the book “Where’d You Go, Bernadette.” But the movie looks fun, in a reverse Walter Mitty kind of way. And we could all use a little more adventure in our lives. Particularly any adventure that involves Cate Blanchett - with or without a cat.
So, anyone read the book? Is it worth having The Blanchett go missing? Discuss.
Sorry can't help with the book , but do know I really need to see this :)
ReplyDeleteHm. I really enjoyed the book -- to the point that I recommended it to several friends -- but I don't see this trailer as effectively capturing Bernadette's spirit/voice...
ReplyDeleteI liked the book, too. Very tongue-in-cheek about the Seattle scene. I will watch Cate in anything, preferably nothing.
ReplyDeleteCate Blanchett in a brown wig. Funny but that is all I see
ReplyDeleteSomething tells me that there'll be more scenes in this film without The Cate than with her. That ain't my kind of Cate film-- she must be in almost every scene. Unless the action goes down in Middle-earth; there I make an exception to the Almost Every Scene rule.
ReplyDeleteTL;DR-- I want MORE Cate, not less.
