Should we just rename it Carolflix? “Carol” has officially come to Netflix this week. So if some inconceivable reason you have not watched the best lesbian romance to ever grace the big screen, small screen or smartphone screen – seriously, what is wrong with you? Regardless, here is your chance to catch it for the first time, or – if you’re like me – watch it again (and again and again and again and again) with the same wonder as the first time. Happy weekend, dearest.
If you're gonna watch it Invite me 'round
ReplyDeleteCan't agree: Desert Hearts - First, funnier and directed by a woman - a lesbian, no less.
ReplyDeleteAgreed
DeleteI kind of like to save it for Christmas, but hearing everyone talking about it this week is giving me a hankering to see it sooner...
ReplyDeleteDid anyone notice that there is a clip in that trailer that is not in the movie? We never saw them outside of their car while they were on the road.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the clip is from a deleted scene where Carol and Therese get a flat tire and Tommy Tucker stops and helps change it for them.
ReplyDeleteAll we have (besides little snippets of the scene from the trailers) are production and behind the scenes stills, and the dialogue from the script.

Meh still don't get the love for this movie. Only Blanchetts face made it worth sticking with.
ReplyDeleteAnd a big hell yes to the other Desert Hearts fan - sublime film that I can't imagine being topped.
My favorite film centered around a lesbian theme. Truly brilliant.
