Cover Girl

CLICK to Enlarge Ellen the Cover Girl, SquaredAmerica’s favorite lesbian next door Ellen DeGeneres graces not one, but two covers this month -- W and The Advocate. It’s a veritable smorgasbord of Elleny goodness. Simply pick your favorite flavor: glossy, gauzy, cleavagey Ellen or tousled, tuxedoed, sophisticated Ellen. I’m for the latter, but you already know all about my weakness for a lady in a killer suit. In the W interview, Ellen talks about everything from her relationship with Portia to her career resuscitation to the death of her first girlfriend and how it inspired her now-famous monologue “A Phone Call to God.” It’s an interesting read, so give it a look. The Advocate article hails her for finding her “inner Cary Grant.” Well, in that picture, yes. I’m trying to think of another time when an out lesbian was on the cover of two major magazines at the same time and I’m drawing a blank. Plus with her Oscar hosting gig right around the corner, more can’t be far behind. Hello history.

sorry, but that gauzy thing just makes her look like she's in drag. the white tux, on the other hand, is utterly hot

    W mag cover = eeeeew

She should never try anything remotely femmy! And all that make up is gross!

I agree with the previous two posters about the first pic. The more I look at it, the worse it gets. My verification word is 'xnenlcn' which is close to what I uttered when I saw that travesty.
Please, Ellen, don't do that again EVER. Seriously.

i strongly disagree with all of you. she wears makeup and femininity well. you're just used to seeing her in her "boi-ish pigeonhole" so it's hard to view her in a different light. embrace your diversity ellen!

I hate the Advocate cover. I don't have a problem with a woman wearing a suit, but this tux looks too much like a man's tux. The suits that Ellen usually wears look tailored and like they are made to fit women, but this looks like she is trying out for a drag king competition.

  9. it's cute! She doesn't look drag at all.. Though I must admit I had trouble finding her legs in that thing.

She's cute in every way, the femme-like Ellen looks beautiful, but I think the boi-ish like look is more .. like Ellen. That's why it look éven better than the femme look on her, because she is who she is.

    I love Ellen,
    and both covers were gorgeous.
