Theme Songs in Tight Dresses

So yesterday when I posted about the universal dislike by young’uns and old’uns alike of that infernal “The L Word” opening theme, a surprising number of you on said you actually liked the theme. (OK, it was three people on Twitter – but still, that three people like it is surprising.) So, as a punishment appeasement to the lovers of all that talking, laughing, loving, breathing, fighting, fucking, crying, drinking, writing, winning, losing, cheating, kissing, thinking and dreaming, here are other shows all set to TLW theme. You asked for it. OK, three of you asked for it. To the rest of you, my apologies in advance.

Rizzoli & Isles

Pretty Little Liars

South of Nowhere

p.s. Jesus fuck, those credits are long. Like over a full minute long. Maybe if they cut some of that shit down they could have shown more of the women in the midst of longing, loving, lusting instead of just singing about it.

p.p.s. I’d also like to remind people that this, this is actually how “The L Word” actually ended. In actuality.

p.p.p.s. For shits and giggles, here is “The L Word” done “Friends” style. Please also note that the “Friends” theme song is half as long as that damn Betty song.

ERRMGAHD, you have just corrected the most atrocious musical injustice, thank you so much!!! Somehow that Betty song isn't as horrible when it's paired with Gayzzoli. And the Friends theme song kinda makes the L Word almost bearable.

I hate OITNB theme song. It's long, and irritating. I fast forward through it every time.

Uuuuugh that Betty song!!! Also, I completely forgot how the L-Word ended so thanks for the refresher. I like to imagine that it ended with everyone taking turns stabbing Jenny to death...kind of like what they did to that guy in the 100...only with more laughter:)

Why did you have to remind me of this song?

Oh dear god. That series was so awful. And I saw every single episode.

Wow, I've never seen the ending of that show. I never really watched after season 3. While I enjoyed the fact that there was actually a show about lesbians I always thought it was way over the top. I think it helped me get through my awkward teen years as a partially closeted lesbian.

Regardless, it was the first series I watched when I first realized I am gay.. Also I really love how it was paired with PLL and R&I.. and that Friends theme was perfect!

Thanks for sharing.. :)
