Body electric

The Olympics start this Friday and what better way to celebrate than to sing the praises of the body electric. After posting the deliciousness of Abby Wambach in her birthday suit I told you I’d come back and get the rest. So here are some very electric bodies from some of the other athletes featured in this year’s ESPN The Body issue, like the U.S. Nationals Volleyball Team above. Now doesn’t that put a nice jolt of electricity into your Monday.

Maya Gabeira, Brazilian surfer

Anna Tunnicliffe, U.S. sailor

Suzann Pettersen, Norwegian golfer

Candace Parker, U.S. basketball player

Ronda Rousey, U.S. mixed martial artist

Daniela Hantuchova, Slovakian tennis player

U.S. Nationals Volleyball Team

Carmelita Jeter, U.S. sprinter

Never thought I'd ever find my fave tennis player on this blog. Glad I did though :D.

Maya said "it's odd to surf naked". Dear Maya: not odd at all, just beautifull! Too bad surfing is not an olimpic game. Maybe in 2016, as a demonstration sport ;)

Off Topic:
"Sally Ride, the first American woman to fly in space, died Monday after a 17-month battle with pancreatic cancer, her company said on its website. She was 61.

She is survived by her partner of 27 years, Tam O'Shaughnessy, her mother, her sister, and other family members." She was a great inspiration to many.

She was married to a man at one point in her life but looks as if she had a partner for the last 27 years.
