Housekeeping

OK, kittens. My apologies for this quick interruption of our regularly scheduled programming. I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on a few new blog notes.

  1. I'm a Twit. Er, wait, that came out wrong. Actually, I'm on Twitter. So, if you want to see even more of the flotsam and jetsam that drifts through my brain on a daily basis, feel free to follow me at twitter.com/dorothysnarker. I can't promise that it will be updated frequently. I can't promise that it will be entertaining. I can't even promise that I'll keep it. But I can promise that at some point I will look like a total twit.
  2. Somewhat along the same lines, you may have already noticed, but I've included a Follow This Blog feature on the sidebar. If you're so inclined, add me so I can see your smiling little avatar every time I log on. Seriously, they make me kind of happy.
  3. I am terribly, terribly, terribly behind on my emails. This means if you wrote to me in December, I have probably not had a chance to write back. My most sincere apologies. I do write back, it just takes a ridiculously long time sometimes. Please don't let this stop you from writing in the future. I will reply, and I am working on being more prompt.
  4. I'm going on vacation on Jan. 16. Wait, wait, wait. Stop throwing things at me. Look, I know it was hard last time. And, of course, I will miss you terribly. But I kind of need a break and I did work all through the holidays. Plus, I won't leave you cold turkey this time. Instead, I will be putting up a “Vacation Vixen” photo post each day. And, since I know you're doing the math in your head: Yes, I will be gone for “The L Word” premiere. But, no, don't worry – the Pre-L's will be posted on schedule each Saturday morning.

Well, thanks for listening. Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming. Hey, did you see Rachel Maddow on “The Daily Show” last night? How dyketastic is that woman? This dyketastic.

I believe it was a Rita Mae Brown character who said twit is the past tense of twat. Hmmm. Innerestin' Twitter possibilities there.

You had me worried again, Miss Dorothy...but then you mentioned Rachel on The Daily Show...and you SO came through!

I was in hog heaven last night. First there was Rachel on her own show...wearing her own clothes and not the regular suit...putting on a miner's hat (because of all the dems who caved in lol)...and laughing the way she does while also making more sense than the rest of MSNBC, all of CNN. and all of Fox News put together!

Then she was on The Daily Show...Jon is telling her she is Marilyn Munster (more Rachel laughter)...while Chris Matthews is the dragon under the stairs!

Such an enjoyable night of television for me...it was a Rachel sandwich with a delicious Padma in the middle. Mmmm, Padma, mmmm.

Yes, I saw her on the Daily Show. I have to say...I find her laughter totally adorable :)

And I think she had to restrain herself sometimes. Otherwise her laughter might have gone on forever!

I think that I have become a lesbian because of Rachel Maddow (I like women -- a lot more now!).
I have never looked at a woman that way before -- I'm in love!
And SMART!
My older son is an Oxford grad having majored in Computer Science and Higher Mathematics, 3.9 GPA.
Rachel looks much shorter than her actual height when sitting behind that big set that they constructed for her on TRMS; whereas Keith Olberman looks like he's using his kid's furniture as a set on his show.
